The Uninvited

windows tells stories,
sometimes ones
you wish you could hide.

they breathe,
insinuating themselves
into forms uninvited

forming agreements
between the inside and outside of me
until i wonder which is which.

  1. I am sure that if windows could talk they would have so many stories. They see both what is inside....and what is outside. Their perspective is unparalleled. Wonderfully penned, Audrey.

  19. A very clever play on the stories of a building in terms of its floors and the stories within those floors as seen through the windows. Works super well, Audrey, thanks! k. (Manicddaily)
