Miles to Go
Morguefile: Alin
When this is done
I will lay you here
in that thin line
between earth and air
I will stop crying--
eyes will have dammed themselves
behind sloughs and marsh lands
where sanctuary now resides
When this is done
I will know who I am
and where my feet are
And if I am lucky
I will lie down with you
your laugh, fast and hard
behind my eyes.
