Edges

The Morgue File

as day passes
folding in on itself
i find the corners of you

left behind
as you passed into night
and fold myself into them
bit by bit
to feel your edges once more.

  6. Audrey,

This is so sensitive with emotions which are resting, close to the edges. It can be a precarious placement, when one is there and alone..Striving to touch or feel a familiar connecting point...Hope is at times, distant...Very powerful..

  7. Ah, nicely done. It's like another version of one I wrote a long time ago:

    A Valentine

    Intimate greetings
    on unfolding hearts
Like two sides of a card
    come together

    Held at the binding
    Day’s boundaries undone
    Sweet sentiments sealed
    by love’s high occasion

  17. There is a beautiful intimacy in this. An it felt more like trying to hold onto a dream or a fantasy than it did an actual person. I have wanted to stay there though.

  25. Ah.. the wilted flowers of life gone by..
and 15 minutes left of the first anniversary
of my father's death.. and he already teaches
me about death as that's how it goes.. so i
dance when he dies and I dance again.. alive..:)

  27. To find the corners and to fold yourself back into them, once again, just to find someone's edges again.....so very romantic and what a gorgeous way to describe that romantic yearning.
