A Slate of Blue

Exceptional
   slate of blue

a feeding upon
     the fastidiousness

of sky
     a promise held

in abeyance
     as winter blooms

and dreams
     lie buried

along with grubs
     to await the thaw

  3. first, great use of words...fastidiousness and abeyance....very cool...and sometimes the dreams must lie falor, so the fields can bear fruit again...you know...smiles..it will thaw

  4. Beautiful phrasings....especially in stanzas 3 and 4. And yes, I think sometimes dreams are buried beneath the snow, but thankfully they come to life again in spring!

  6. The promise is like a blanket that gives dreams, seeds, roots, grubs the rest they need to wake strong. You say this so beautifully and honor it.
